OUR CLASSES
Explore our classes for all ages and abilities. From ballet, tap, to hip hop, there is a class for any aspiring dancer. Book a class or a term using the links below.
BALLET
Ballet is one of our core styles at HEDA. Children begin to explore ballet in our Mini Moves class, and we gradually increase the challenge and structure as they grow. We are firm believers that ballet is for everyone, and we make our ballet classes as fun, inspiring and inclusive as possible. Our students often combine their ballet class with tap or modern jazz, and they are able to enter optional exams with the IDTA.
MINI MOVES
Mini Moves is where imagination meets movement, and passion and confidence begins! We combine fun follow along exercises and routines with storytelling and adventure. Everything we do is with the EYFS curriculum in mind, aiming to build our students’ physical, social/emotional development and communication skills. We offer Mini Me for toddlers to participate with an adult, and our signature Mini Moves class for children 3+.
MODERN JAZZ
Modern Jazz is one of our most popular styles at HEDA! Combining technique with strength and power, we use jazz and modern dance techniques to develop high kicks, strong contractions and powerful jumps and leaps. Dancers love this dynamic and expressive style, especially when we dance to a song they recognise!
TAP
Tap is a HEDA signature- we love tap here! Tap is such a great compliment to all other dance genres as it develops rhythm, weight placement and footwork. Tap is a challenge, but once the students ‘get it’, they take to it so quickly and get so much satisfaction from learning new steps and combinations. Many students combine tap with their ballet class.
HIP HOP & CONTEMPORARY
Combining groove and bounce with grounding and expression, our brand new hip hop & contemporary class is perfect for those who want something less technical and structured. We will improve our body awareness and performance skills in this fresh and lighthearted class.
