CLASSES FOR CHILDREN
INCLUSIVE AND ENGAGING CLASSES
We currently offer classes in three NW locations: Kensal Rise, West Hampstead and Maida Vale.
We aim to offer a class to suit everybody, and open our classes to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. We are proof that dance can build communities and strong friendships, and we hope we can welcome you to join!

OUR LEVELS EXPLAINED
MINI:
AGE 3+
Introductory level for young dancers who are able to/working towards being in class without their parent/guardian.
PREP / PRIMARY:
AGE RANGE 4-8
Building on basic dance technique and preparing for more formal lessons
JUNIOR/GRADES 1-3:
AGE 8+
Working at Grade 1 level plus, becoming more independent dancers and developing their skills
BALLET
One of our busiest classes, ballet is super popular with younger children. We begin ballet with lots of fun and imagination to build basic technique plus enthusiasm for dance.
Later we work through the IDTA syllabus, a great syllabus for us to adapt around the needs of our students, building fun first and foremost, alongside sound technique.

TAP
We pride ourselves on fun, energetic and engaging tap classes.
Our students learn rhythm, articulation and coordination through this fun and intricate style. This is a great addition to a ballet class and we often pair these styles in our combo classes.

MODERN JAZZ
Modern Jazz is an umbrella term we use for a dynamic and varied class, great for children with lots of energy who love to perform!
Within a term of classes, we look at a variety of current styles including jazz, contemporary and hip hop styles. We would recommend this class for children who love dance, and want to try lots of different styles.

STREET DANCE
Another popular style with little ones, street dance is a great introduction to dance.
We build up strength, coordination and balance with our fun and energetic routines. We look at hip hop, locking and popping at the most introductory level for our young students. They have lots of fun and burn off lots of energy!

*We currently do not have dedicated street dance classes for older children, but encourage you to try modern jazz, which covers these styles within the term of classes.
