ABOUT US

ALL ABOUT HEDA

We launched our academy in September 2024. We wanted to mix together old and new concepts to create a one stop shop for budding dancers. We want to offer technical dance classes, where students are learning dance foundations and history, and can develop their craft with secure and innovative training.

We also want to build up our students physical competence and confidence, teaching them the joy of movement and hoping them to grow more in tune with their body. Most importantly, we want to create a hub of dance, where both young people and adults can enjoy their passion, make friends and escape an overwhelming and busy world outside the studio.

We believe in a holistic approach to dance education, and we want to take advantage of all dance can offer our students!

EXAMS

We offer optional examinations with the International Dance Teacher’s Association (IDTA) which offers opportunities to work towards awards, graded by a professional examiner. This is the perfect way to work on presentation skills, work towards a shared goal, and mark and celebrate dance achievements. We find this is a great learning lesson about motivation and determination, and helps our young dancers to learn great transferable life skills!

We love the IDTA syllabus for its adaptability, meaning we can really personalise the exams for the benefit of our dancers and their learning stage. Our dancers get a fabulous sense of achievement when they complete and exam!

HOLIDAY CAMPS

We run camps during some school holidays to provide a more immersive experience into dance and creative subjects. Our themed workshops consist of dance, drama, singing, art, games, multisports and more, aimed at keeping children active and engaged over the holidays. Our last wicked themed camp was a great success and the children loved socialising and bonding over their love for the film. Camps are 4 hours per day and usually take place at our Kensal Rise Venue. With flexible days and pricing, we hope to offer you some light relief from the school holidays childcare stress!
